Gmina Jejkowice, Verwaltungsbezirk im Landkreis Rybnik, Polen

Gmina Jejkowice is a rural administrative territory in Rybnik County, occupying a small area in southern Poland and serving as home to several villages and scattered settlements. The district contains the main village of Jejkowice along with smaller communities spread across the territory.

The area, once known by its German name Jeykowitz, has roots in the Silesian region and became established as an administrative unit within Rybnik County over time. Its development reflects the broader history of the industrial and agricultural regions in southern Poland.

The district maintains connections with the Czech Republic through a partnership with Služovice, supporting exchanges between the communities across the border.

The village center of Jejkowice lies just northwest of Rybnik, making it reachable by local roads and regional transport connections. The administrative office serves residents from this central location and handles local governance matters.

The territory is notably compact and among the smallest of its kind in Poland, creating a tight-knit community where residents maintain close connections to surrounding areas. This size allows for efficient local administration and direct engagement with community concerns.
